Since 2024, BuildStory has worked with more than 320 small and medium businesses across Mumbai — and the pattern was always the same. A ₹1,50,000 website with nothing driving traffic to it. An SEO retainer on a site Google could not crawl. A CRM nobody logged into. The individual purchases were fine. The sequence was wrong.
What we actually do
BuildStory is a digital growth and business solutions company in Mumbai. We do three things for MSMEs, startups and local businesses: build the things customers see, grow the demand that reaches them, and handle the registrations and automation that keep the business running behind the scenes.
That range is unusual for an agency, and it exists for a practical reason. A business owner running a clinic in Andheri or a components unit in Wagle Estate does not want to manage four vendors. They want one number to call when the website is down, the ads are underperforming or the GST return is due.
How we price
Every engagement starts with a free consultation and ends with a written scope: deliverables, timeline, price. We do not charge a percentage of ad spend, because that makes our advice to reduce spend financially costly to us. We do not lock clients into twelve-month retainers, because a service that has to be enforced by contract is not working.
What we will not do
- Buy links, buy reviews, or write reviews on your behalf. All three risk the asset they are supposed to help.
- Guarantee a Google ranking. Nobody can, and the ones who promise it are usually describing paid ads.
- Hold your domain, hosting or ad account hostage. Everything is registered in your name from day one.
- Sell you a service you do not need yet. If the constraint is your pricing or your follow-up process, we will say so.
Where we work
Our office is in Andheri East, Mumbai. Most clients are across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region — Andheri, Bandra, Borivali, Dadar, Lower Parel, Malad, Powai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Compliance work such as GST, MSME, trademark and company registration is delivered nationally, in association with empanelled chartered accountants and company secretaries.
The team
A core team of developers, designers, SEO specialists and compliance professionals, supported by empanelled CAs and CSs for statutory work. Every account has one named point of contact who stays with it, so you are not re-explaining your business to a new person each quarter.

A 45-minute conversation about your margins, your best customers and what you have already tried. Free, and it ends with a straight recommendation even when that recommendation is to do nothing yet.
Audit and proposal
We examine your site, listing, competitors and current numbers, then send a written scope with fixed pricing, deliverables and timelines. No retainer starts without it.
Build
Design, copy and development run in parallel with weekly check-ins. You see progress on a staging link, not in a status email.
Launch
Migration, redirects, analytics, search console and conversion tracking are verified before go-live. We watch rankings and forms for the first fortnight.
Grow
Monthly execution with a report you can read in five minutes: what we did, what it produced, and what we are doing next month.
